Wheel diameter: a question from Italy.
My J-Europe built 109 is equipped with an optional Lewmar 145 cm (57") wheel (slightly deck recessed). Looks good and satysies european edonism. The other side of it is that it is unpractical for shortjanded sailing, since it limits space for passing in front of the wheel. I understand that US specs give a 54" Edson wheel and no other option. Does that wheel size allow for sufficient space to move back and forth with out getting your feet cought in the wheel. Thanks for any advice, ciao,
Alessandro
