Hello fellow J/109 sailors. I have questions regarding staysails and when to use them on the J/109. This is PHRF racing, not one design.
My boat came with both, the Genoa staysail and a staysail on a furler. My questions are when do I use these sails? WHen do I use the Genoa staysail instead of the ...

Transmission while sailing
While following a Yanmar thread on a different site, the discussion was regarding transmission position while saiilng. I am under the impression that it should be in reverse (engine off) while sailing. I have the Yanmar 3YM30 and I am pretty sure I read this in the manual or the kanzaki manual ...

Re: Main traveler car replacement
Try calling them. They still show a similar block on the windward sheeting H1635. Maybe they can make up a run of them.
I will also look to see, I thought I had an extra car.

Re: Spinnaker
Hi Pete, I have a UK sailmakers 120 SQ/M kite. It looks to be in great shape, the past owner said they did not use it much and then they switched to Evolution sails.
send me a email chris.p@awardandsports.com
we are not using it, we have so many spinnakers... this is from the old Goat Rodeo.

Re: Table and Door hardware help
Thanks Todd, that is great info and very helpful! The hinge is Perko, hard to find the 6 hole version but they sell a 4 holes version with a removeable pin which solved my problem. The table hardware I will pick up with your suggestion this week.

Table and Door hardware help
Good afternoon gang. I know most of you remove your table and doors to make racing easier. I on the other hand am putting the table and doors back in. However, there is no hardware that I can find in the boat or with the stuff that came with the boat. I am hoping this group can help me out.

Contact Mike Burt at Great Lakes Marine Services. They are just north of Chicago and have experience moving J/109's. He is moving mine in two weeks and no need to remove winches or pulpits. These guys are the Pro's! 262-375-3003
